Columbus police are seeking a suspect in a Friday afternoon shooting inside the Cracker Barrel restaurant on 18th Avenue North.
An armed man entered the Cracker Barrel just before 4:25 p.m. looking for his girlfriend, city public information officer Joe Dillon said. Several employees became involved in an altercation with the man before the suspect fired several shots in the dining room and hit the victim.
Dillon said the shooting victim was male and a member of the restaurant's management team.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, where he is in stable condition.
Dillon said the suspect left the scene and no one has been arrested.
An arrest warrant for aggravated assault has been issued for Robert Beck, according to CPD Chief Fred Shelton.
Beck reportedly left the scene in a blue Toyota sedan with the license plate number LVQ 512.
